Dear Edith, You are a wonderful actress and I have read interviews by you in so many books. Have you ever thought of writing your own biography? I would be the first in line to buy it! Just last Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010, I was priviliged to see your performance in "RIO GRANDE," with Gene Autry. I loved the role you played and how well you played it. Y I saw it on Encore Televison. Encore has a Gene Autry movie every Sunday at noon. I am curious as to why you apparently departed from movie acting after the 1940's. Edith, thank you so very much for your work. May God bless you and your family. I WAS THE STAND-IN FOR EDITH IN "PENNIES FROM HEAVEN" WITH BING CROSBY. MY NAME WAS PATTY LEE. HI EDITH ,,,OLD FRIEND LOVE PATTY I liked Temple and Rooney a lot..but Edith was better. Met her once and made a fool of myself acting like some starstruck fan.. Edith is probably my favorit actor..she played so well with Crosby in Pennys.In fact,,she made Crosby look all the better.As far as acting ablility,,I don't know any other child actor who came close. I liked Temple and Rooney,,alot,,but Edith was better..I met her once,,and I froze like some lame starstruck fan,which I've never done, and I've met some biggies,,(Grant,Bellamy,ect)I don't know what happend,,Some one just came up to me and said,,"oh,this is Edith Fellows",,and I started stammering like Ralph Cramden,(hubida,hubida)and that was it!been kicking myself ever since.
