Wow. What a great movie. Just watched Interrupted Melody on TCM. What a fantastic actress! I have never been an opera star, but after watching this classic film, I am now. Eleanor, you should have won best actress that year without a doubt! What a viewing pleasure. Thanks for bringing a piece of your life into mine! Class all the way!!!

dear Eleanor, Have you thought of doing a movie, playing a role of ava gardner in a cameo role. Could be interesting also why, were you not included with those sound of music reunions they had a few years ago? Afterall, your role as Baroness made you "famous" in a strange kinda way. Guess that is show biz for you. Barry from capetown south africaa

I adore this marvelous lady (Lady with a capital L !). She was a fantastic actress whose sensitive nature shone through her characterizations and accented her obvious physical beauty. Recognized as a great actress but never quite given the acclaim she really deserved.

Hi Eleanor, In the 50's I had a fan club for you. I was at your house on Bev. Dr. and your maid showed me through to your tennis court in the back. I have an album of your signed and unsigned photos. I would love to know how you are doing. When I met you several times at MGM studios you signed many photos for me. I even sat in your white Caddie. You were my favorite. I am now 73 and you are still my favorite.

It seems unanimous: she is one of Hollywood's great beauties, an actress of the first rank, who had a great impact on all who viewed her films. Her sensativity shines through each performance.

I had a major crush on Eleanor Parker starting with SCARAMOUCHE in 1952. Saw it 10 times in the movie theaters. Saw all her films 3-4 times and even had a scrapbook on her life filled with photos and articles. She was one of the great beauties but had an incredible talent...a true chameleon. Deserved the Oscar for INTERRUPTED MELODY. I would give anything even at this late date to meet her!!!
